Rob Kay

Partner Psychologist

Rob is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health & Professions Council. He completed his BSc in Psychology at Durham University in 2002 and his MSc in Occupational Psychology soon followed.

Rob became chartered in back in 2010. He began his career as a HR Recruitment Consultant and his first role as an Occupational Psychologist shortly after.

Rob’s areas of expertise range from competency framework design, recruitment process design (such as competency-based interviews and assessment centre design and delivery) and psychometric testing. He is trained to use psychometric tools such as SHL’s OPQ, Saville’s Wave, MBTI and Cattell’s 16PF.

Specific projects include:

  • One to one development projects using MBTI (Stonegate Pub Company, Focus DIY, Lea Manufacturing)
  • Personality profiling using OPQ and Wave (UHSM NHS Foundation Trust, Stonegate Pub Company, Xerox)
  • Assessment centre design and delivery (Boots, Warburtons, Xerox, The Hyde Group, Mercian Housing Association, thetrainline.com, Promethean)
  • Development centre design and delivery (New Charter Housing)
  • Competency based interview design and delivery (UHSM NHS Foundation Trust, The Co-operative Food).
