Coretta Barry

Consultant Psychologist

Coretta is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Member of the British Psychological Society, Member of the Association of Business Psychologists and Member of the CIPD.

She has been working as an independent consultant since 2004. Previously Coretta held senior Leadership Development roles with Vodafone and The Caudwell Group. Her early career included senior psychologist roles within global business psychologists SHL and Frost Rowley.

Coretta specializes in working within high performance environments. She is particularly skilled in the assessment and evaluation of senior leaders and translating results into practical learning, development and behavioral solutions. She is recognized as an expert in development and simulation exercise design, and some of her recent work was short listed for a Times Higher award.

Coretta is an expert in an extensive range of psychometrics including OPQ, Wave, FiroB, Dimensions, Hogan Dark Side, MBTI and various 360 tools.

Specific projects have included:

  • UBS Investment Bank – External facilitator for the Learning & Education Faculty. Responsible for the design and delivery of experiential leadership and management development workshops and 1-2-1 executive assessment and coaching assignments.
  • Inchcape Global Retail Group – Design and delivery of global Leadership Assessment & Development Programme for General & Senior Managers
  • Cranfield School of Management – Associate Executive Coach and Assessor for Leadership and Development Programmes.
  • Police Service of Northern Ireland Quality Assurer for Assessment – Responsible for advising on and approving the design and implementation of promotion processes for a range of roles including Inspector, Chief Inspector and HRBP.
  • Amnesty International – Design and delivery of Global Board Assessment and Development Needs Evaluation, Board and individual development programme
  • Nestle Switzerland – Capability assessment for an international team of nutritionists on their leadership and influencing strategies regarding potential to lead health and well-being directives across the organisation
  • University of Derby – Designed and delivered development centres for all Academic Managers.

Encouraged by her family, Coretta is hopeful that her fly fishing will improve. She is a keen hill walker and enjoys spending time in the Scottish Highlands.
